Gnar makes adaptive skiing more enjoyable for people with lower body disabilities. Mono-skiers experience the freedom of movement on a ski slope, but face challenges that able-bodied skiers don’t. Righting oneself after a fall is especially troublesome, as currently mono-skiers need assistance to get back up. Gnar is designed to provide skiers with unassisted recovery. The improved outriggers can be used for skiing and pushing, and now as a tool for getting up. An extending outrigger and two-handled push enables the mono-skier to get back up from the slope quickly, for a more enjoyable and dynamic skiing experience.
